Home Is Where You Park It
Home Is Where You Park It is an exciting new storytelling project which will be collecting stories and memories from the North East VW Campervan community. Through a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and crowdfunding, we will be gathering stories and memories of campervan owners that will have a great social importance. We want to collect tales of the road trips & restorations, the breakdowns & DIY fixes, of the people and their vans and what brought them together.
The stories will illustrate the history and heritage of the VW campervan through the stories of the people who drive them, gathered at storytelling workshops across the region, through oral history interviews and special events and festivals.
The stories collected will be formed into a storybook and will be archived for future generations.
