Re:collections exhibition
15 digital stories made by a multi-generational group, brought together by their personal connections to glass, will be on show in this exhibition at the National Glass Centre.
Curiosity Creative worked with Sunderland’s National Glass Centre to create a set of digital stories which form a part of the Centre’s Re:collections exhibition, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
A group of people including artists, former industrial glass workers, students and collectors each made their own digital story giving their unique perspective on glass.
Pyrex, which was manufactured in Sunderland, features in some of the stories including that of Harry, who worked as a draughtsman at the Pyrex factory, and the tale of a simple Pyrex jug which holds memories of family.
