Bait

Digital stories celebrating the rich heritage of brass bands in South East Northumberland.

Curiosity Creative were commissioned to work with some of the brass bands in South East Northumberland recently by Bait.  Bait is one of the Creative People and Places projects across England funded by Arts Council England.  Their mission is to create long term change in levels of arts participation, driven by the creativity and ambition of people living in South East Northumberland, and having demonstrable effect on the well-being of local people and levels of social energy and activism within communities.

Curiosity Creative worked with members of some of the brass bands in Northumberland to capture their passion, drive and aspirations for the future of brass banding in Northumberland in a number of digital stories.  These stories will be included in a special brass performance by contemporary brass band Mnozil at the miners picnic which will be held at Woodhorn in June.
