Train the Trainer at JISC InfoNet and NetSkills

JISC Infonet

Digital stories can be used as an evaluation and reflection tool for all kinds of projects, and that is what we explored in this training session with staff from JISC InfoNet and NetSkills, who are based at Newcastle University and Northumbria University.

The group was interested in using digital storytelling as part of their own digital projects so we ran a four day training course for them, starting with storytelling and script writing, and culminating with each person recording a story of their own.

Stories ranged from awaiting the birth of a first child to realising the real purpose and value of research into HIV.

It was amazing. I’ve gone through a whole raft of emotions. I think it’s been a unique personal and professional experience. It’s changed the relationship I have with colleagues in a really good way.
