Growing Pains
Being a home delivery on 5th June 1955 at 9.55 in the morning was not the best idea especially on Trinity Sunday. In the prevailing panic, my now proud father, a Methodist minister, forgot he had a christening to conduct that morning.
One could say that this was not the very best of beginnings to life. A life which revolves around Methodism with expectations of a minister’s daughter, both in the church and in the community, were difficult to meet.
As I grew the packing and moving every few years became harder and 5 different schools in the end, overwhelming. Mum was my constant.
On the upside characters and situations I met with in Methodism, shaped the person I am today.
