Three women who had experienced domestic violence tell their stories as part of 2014’s White Ribbon campaign, the world’s largest campaign of men working to end violence towards women.
Tyneside Women’s Health commissioned Curiosity Creative to work with the women to create their digital stories which were all screened at the White Ribbon event in Gateshead.
The three very personal stories talk of abuse, escape and new lives, giving a voice to those who have suffered from domestic violence.
"Tyneside Women's Health has worked with Curiosity Creative on several projects and we have always found them to be professional and reliable.
Most recently we commissioned Curiosity Creative to build digital stories with our service users for the White Ribbon Campaign to end male violence against women. Service Users worked with Alex, the Director over a series of sessions to create digital stories to share their experiences of domestic abuse.
We were really impressed with the sensitivity and respect shown by Alex as she helped the women to put their feelings into words and find suitable pictures to represent those emotions.
The finished digital stories were brilliant and really portray the experiences of women who have suffered abuse, the impact of the stories at our White Ribbon Event was highlighted when the room fell silent as they were played.
We can't thank Curiosity Creative enough for the work they have done and would highly recommend them.
We look forward to working with Curiosity Creative again in the future."
