Paul’s walk around the Ouseburn
Paul loves walking and in his story he describes some of the things he sees on his walk around the Ouseburn.
Ok Paul so when you’re walking along the Ouseburn what’s the first thing that you see?
I see boats
And as you get to the farm and you walk past it what sort of animals do you see when you’re at the farm?
The pigs, sheep and horses and hens and ducks and what else, lambs
And there’s usually lots of people around the Ouseburn isn’t there and they’re out with their children, what do you think they’re doing?
They’re going to the seven stories and they look out the window do drawings and that and they do all things and that, they go to the farm and that and do drawings, do something at the farm and that, working at the farm
So there’s always usually lots of busses turning up with school children and things like that, do you see many busses?
I see loads of busses, lots of them, about 10, 2, 3 or 4 busses coming in at once
And there's also a couple of pubs can you remember what they’re called?
The Cluny and the ship. I see loads of people, men sitting, loads of people and that sitting outside having their lunch and that and having their drink and that having their lunch
So after you’ve walked past the pubs what do you see on your left hand side opposite daybreak?
The stables, Ouseburn Stepney bank stables and I see animals and the horses and people walking the horses up and down the bank
So your final destination is where
Stepney bank stables and Ouseburn day centre, daybreak
So what do you like about walking?
I enjoy my walks I do a lot of walking, I walk all over the place myself. I walked down to Bertley the other day on Sunday and walked all the way back from Bertley all the way back up home
Why do you like it? Is it nice to be out and about?
Yes I do a lot of, I’m doing healthy walking for myself I walk all over the place, different places.
