Black Cats Stories

We’ve been looking for fans of Sunderland AFC who want to share their stories about supporting the Black Cats: the highs, the lows, and all the adventures along the way.

Working with Music in the Minster and The Foundation of Light, Curiosity Creative will be creating a series of digital stories about football fans’ passion for the club. We’ll be hosting a number of workshops at the Stadium of Light where fans will learn how to make their own digital story using sound, photographs and moving images.

The finished stories will be screened at libraries throughout Sunderland and will also become a part of our own digital story archive [link to archive], which collects stories of people here in the North East.

We’ll be running some more events later in the year. Watch this space for more details. 

Black Cats Stories is part of the Opera for Sunderland programme. The Opera for Sunderland will be written by award-winning children’s author David Almond and Spanish composer Marcos Fernandez.
